That was a great meeting. I particularly liked the mix of roads on the route and riding up Hartside in 30yard visibility is a memorable first! Can't blame you for that Yoav so many thanks for fixing up such a great weekend for us. I hope Jane's coffers are replete with such a great bunch of new members' subs. Thanks Chris for such competent and unobtrusive tailing. That blue laser you've fitted to Boris was easy to see from the front and I'm sure could cut through metal let alone fog!!
I really enjoyed the gig. Lots of new and busked stuff and Huw's awesome new bass and playing made the band much bigger than just 2. Thanks to long tall Sally for her excellent singing on Hotel California and for everyones' forbearance towards my soloing on Stairway....another we'd never done before - or even thought of doing without Gary. Alcohol is such a wonderful amnesic.... Hope he heard Wish You Were Here from Ponteland anyway.
I arrive home feeling a better biker having managed to sort my little friday electrical problem by myself, though still feel a prat for not making the diagnosis before bleating to the RAC. Hey ho.
Glad to learn your boy is essentially ok John - only heard you'd had to leave at breakfast this morning. And lets hope Paul's new VFR is not too time consuming to fix up after its topple. I broke the equivalent bit of the greybird in a drop and managed to rebuild the mirror unit myself.
Fab weekend. Hope to see y'all and more in the Fens area May 7/8 weekend next year - if not before of course.
