This was a great run taking in big chunks of Lincolnshire and Cambridgshire. The only downside was Robbie's Laverda expiring. It has since been resurrected and all is well.
Bon's Ducati also suffered: -
Went over to Robbie’s in the driving rain and gales yesterday, thankfully in the car, towing the trailer with the Laverda on it; we then returned this afternoon with my Ducati on the trailer...
I might have ridden it home if it were not for the fact that the tyres are really very past sell by!
The horrible graunchy noise on starting it in Lincolnshire is very likely the starter clutch assembly failing, not just me, it did it to Robbie too... the horrible reality of what that really means was revealed on Friday when Robbie’s friend Harry at Ducati Glasgow told me I would need to renew all three components, thereby parting with approx £500 of hard-earned. Ouch! And two new tyres don’t forget.
